I am an experienced freelance English to Russian translator specialized in IT, software and technical translations. One of my strong points which sets me apart from many other translators is my Russian, or to be precise, the quality of it – I always make sure to provide grammatically correct, laconic and easy to understand translations.

I have always loved language and reading, this is why I enjoy well written texts and books. However, I got a degree in computer science and for several years I worked as a programmer. Then, I was offered a task of translating some accounting software into Russian. This was when I realized that I had found the opportunity to combine these two interests of mine in one job. It was exactly what I wanted to do for a living. That was my first localization project. The next one was a lengthy and complex Lotus Notes translation. This time I acted as a proofreader. After that, I spent many years working as a translator and a project manager in the the Unicorn IT Group, the major customer of which was Hewlett-Packard Company. During these years I have translated and reviewed more than 2,500,000 words and completed about 9,000 projects.
